I remember the fun fishing trips with my parents in the late 1940's aboard Kenny Lyman's charter boat, the "Lucky Penny," named for his wife, Penny. My late husband, Sam Ogren, Jr., who passed away last November, knew Kenny well. My husband lived in Delray all his life. As a bonafide Boyntonite - A flood of wonderful memories come to mind when I think of the name Lyman. Kenny and family had a tremendous impact on shaping Boynton in a quiet and sutble way. Lyman's docks etc provided both economic and social benefit to a quiet and safe community then unknown to most that were discovering other parts of Florida. And while many searched for treasures off shore I was one of the fortuate to have known some of the overlooked treasures on-shore such as the Lyman's....
