Not sure what to say?

Mr. Gaut was an amazing science teacher my sixth grade year. I had him 04-05. i will always remember his long offtrailing conversations, but no matter how long they were always interesting. The thing i will remember most though was how he told us to "waft" our science projects when they required smelling. He will be forever in my memory as one of my favorite teachers. Rest easy

Kevin was such a thoughtful and articulate colleague. I always appreciated his input when I had the chance to work with him at district workshops. Rest in peace, Kevin, and may those whose lives you touched be better people because of having known you.

There are only a few teachers I remember from my childhood. Mr. Gaut is one of those few. (1981-82) He made the classroom interesting and alive. I remember our classroom transformation into King Tuts Tomb for Halloween, he provided my first introduction to performing arts, the scratch & sniff stamp collecting club (I still have my collection after all these years), and the list goes on... He truly cared for each and every student. He inspired me to get involved in school activities. He...

Mr. Gaut was one of my favorite teachers. I had him for 6th grade in 1986-87. We were the last class to do the big art show themed room. Im still friends with some of my class mates and we still talk about him and the good times we had. I remember class with him like it was yesterday. So many memories there are too many to name. He will be terribly missed. Thanks for all you've taught me :)

Mr Gaut was my 6th grade teacher 78-79! I often think back to the haunted cave we made out of the classroom! And his Stixx and Kiss albums we would listen to before class every morning!

I was a student of his in the 80's. He made 6th grade fun! The art show was of course the highlight of the year~ enjoy your time on the other side! Much <3

Mr. Gaut was a real nice teacher, I wish I would have had him, but it was still nice working with him. He will be greatly missed.

Kevin had a way with words unlike anybody I have ever known. I was always in awe listening to him. He was also a very intelligent man who very patiently helped others. I am happy to have worked with such a devoted teacher. God is blessed to have him in heaven. He is certainly missed here on earth. RIP good friend.

Please note that the time has been omitted from the obit. His memorial get-together is scheduled for this Tuesday at Green Lane Park near the tennis courts at 11 am. Please help to spread the word!!!
