I will never forget the night I spent at the Simone's on Oak Knoll at Woodland Lake. At the time I was 13 years old, and had a terrible crush on a girl named Karen Ratelle, who lived across the lake off Hilton Road. Despite it being the middle of February, Kevin accompanied me across frozen Woodland Lake late one Saturday night as we walked a half-mile or so in the bitter cold just so that I could stand and stare at Karen's house and....pine. That was it, I just stood and stared, too...
