Not sure what to say?

Its been 15 years now and we still miss you. I think about you every day. Cameron has grown up to be a good man. We talk about you now and then. He misses you still very badly. In a lot of ways he is just like you. I see you in him. He is stubborn like you. Head strong and has a big heart like you. You rest easy now and we will see you soon.

I have a fond memory of Spanky and Krista giving me one of Beck's puppies 4yrs ago. I am the same age and have 2 young sons also, so this hits too close to home. Patrick always spoke fondly of Krista as a fellow police officer and I was shocked to hear of her passing. This kind of sudden thing always make me more thankful for everyday I have on this earth, and all the people I love. We will keep you in our prayers.

We are here for comfort in your time of need. We offer prayer for you and your family. With love and all the respect of the job that was done and is still to be done. Love and memories will live on always

Krista was a tremendous person who sometimes portrayed that tough image, but us old guys new she had a big heart underneath. She touched a lot of our lives. Spanky & Cameron she loved you guys very much and you should always remember that. She will be missed by us all.

Spanky,

I was so shocked to hear of Krista's passing. She was always such a sweet person to me. Even though I got to radio just after she left, I remember her coming in to the radio room and always having a smile on her face. I remember her coming in one day after I had just handled a pretty confusing situation on the radio and saying "good job". It meant a lot coming from someone who knew what it was like. My prayers are with you and Cameron.

I only knew Krista from seeing her on calls that we had run together. I heard about a GCPD officer being sick and passing away, but didn't have a face to put with the name. When I did get a picture, I was completely shocked. Krista was always very nice. One could go for a long time without seeing her and the next time you did, she was just as warm as the last! God bless you and your family. Know that Krista is a great person and smiling on us everyday!

Krista,
Your passing leaves a huge hole in the department. You would have been proud for all the uniformed men and women that came to pay you their respects. You touched so many lives, even the bravest man in his uniform shed tears for you. You will not be forgotten. To the family, Spanky and Cameron, we pass on our heartfelt sympathy and condolences. You will be in our thoughts and prayers. Badge 385 is 10-7 10-42.

Hi Spanky and Cameron,
I will definately miss Krista. She had my kind of sense of humor. My heart goes out to you and your son. Also to her parents. I hope that raising Cameron, having wonderful friends, and your work will help occupy your mind during this very sad time. God bless you and your family.

I was at the tag office at Northside the other day and a couple standing behind me noticed my GCPD communications shirt. The woman politely asked why the flag was at half staff; was someone killed in the line of duty? I told them about Krista and how much we already missed her terribly. The woman clutched her chest and the man stood there just staring at me. She said to please convey their thoughts and prayers to Krista's family and her extended police family. So here I do that....
