Its been 15 years now and we still miss you. I think about you every day. Cameron has grown up to be a good man. We talk about you now and then. He misses you still very badly. In a lot of ways he is just like you. I see you in him. He is stubborn like you. Head strong and has a big heart like you. You rest easy now and we will see you soon.

I have a fond memory of Spanky and Krista giving me one of Beck's puppies 4yrs ago. I am the same age and have 2 young sons also, so this hits too close to home. Patrick always spoke fondly of Krista as a fellow police officer and I was shocked to hear of her passing. This kind of sudden thing always make me more thankful for everyday I have on this earth, and all the people I love. We will keep you in our prayers.

Spanky,
I was so shocked to hear of Krista's passing. She was always such a sweet person to me. Even though I got to radio just after she left, I remember her coming in to the radio room and always having a smile on her face. I remember her coming in one day after I had just handled a pretty confusing situation on the radio and saying "good job". It meant a lot coming from someone who knew what it was like. My prayers are with you and Cameron.

I only knew Krista from seeing her on calls that we had run together. I heard about a GCPD officer being sick and passing away, but didn't have a face to put with the name. When I did get a picture, I was completely shocked. Krista was always very nice. One could go for a long time without seeing her and the next time you did, she was just as warm as the last! God bless you and your family. Know that Krista is a great person and smiling on us everyday!

Krista,
Your passing leaves a huge hole in the department. You would have been proud for all the uniformed men and women that came to pay you their respects. You touched so many lives, even the bravest man in his uniform shed tears for you. You will not be forgotten. To the family, Spanky and Cameron, we pass on our heartfelt sympathy and condolences. You will be in our thoughts and prayers. Badge 385 is 10-7 10-42.

Hi Spanky and Cameron,
I will definately miss Krista. She had my kind of sense of humor. My heart goes out to you and your son. Also to her parents. I hope that raising Cameron, having wonderful friends, and your work will help occupy your mind during this very sad time. God bless you and your family.

I was at the tag office at Northside the other day and a couple standing behind me noticed my GCPD communications shirt. The woman politely asked why the flag was at half staff; was someone killed in the line of duty? I told them about Krista and how much we already missed her terribly. The woman clutched her chest and the man stood there just staring at me. She said to please convey their thoughts and prayers to Krista's family and her extended police family. So here I do that.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

My deepest sympathy for your family. I can not believe she is gone. I just talked with her a couple of weeks ago. Cameron your Mom loved you so much, and was so proud of you. Every time she came in to training she would beam as she talked about you, and showed off your pictures. Krista will be greatly missed. Love Jill

I remember working with Krista on a couple of accidents and seeing her here and there. It always hurts to see a fellow officer go down, especially one that is well known. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone.

Dear Davis Family --
Len and I met when we both worked undercover narcotics investigations for the GBI and we have been together for 31+ years. When we started having children we decided that maybe it was time for one of us to get into a different line of work so Len left her love of law enforcement after five years. I retired with 34 years of service with the Georgia State Patrol and Georgia Bureau of Investigation. The only job I ever put an application in for was COP of GCPD because of the fine men and women in the department and because I wanted to do something for the community I lived in. Someone else was selected, but I know many outstanding officers with GCPD and GCSO and feel that they are hurting like you with the passing of Krista. I never thought that I would live through all of those years in law enforcement but Len and I have four wonderful sons. The greatest police in Georgia work in Gwinnett County for the federal, state and local police agencies in my opinion. Be strong because she is in a much better place now and we will all see her again in the future. We thank her and all law enforcement officers for keeping our family safe every day. God Bless your family and please don't hesitate to get in touch with us if we can assist you with anything. We are truly sorry for your loss. Walt and Len Brooks, and sons, Jimmy, Christopher, Patrick and Nicholas

A tough cop with a hugh heart!. That's how I will remember Krista. Everytime I saw her in PSU, especially lately, she had a hugh smile on her face. She made us laugh with her comments and outspoken way, but we also knew she had a heart of gold! Spanky, you, Cameron, and the entire family are in our prayers. May God grant you strength, comfort and peace during this time.

I'm going to miss you girl. You were the best. You had such an impact on my life when I was living there, and the best friend anyone could have. I remember. I remember all of it. The memories we shared overwhelm me. The laughter, the tears, the intensity, the 'exercising', the drama, and most importantly.. the 'job'. You taught me everything. I cannot imagine coming back and you'll not be there. You will be remembered....
