Not sure what to say?

I just learned of Kris's death. We were childhood pals at St. Lamberts and later St. Scholastica. I'll always remember Kris as a beautiful, kind and very smart girl. I now live in the house I grew up in, which is around the corner from the house Mrs. Gast (Kris's grandmother) lived in for so many years. I can't pass it without thinking of the Gast family. Kris and I shared many happy times and, as it turned out, a name. My sincere sympathy on your tragic loss.

Dear Family,
We were so sadden to learn of Kris' passing. Our hearts grieve with all of you in your loss. Margit sent us a copy of the clipping about Kris from the paper. What a beautiful photo of Kris! We have shared this article with our son. God comfort you and give you peace during this time. Love from Rob, May, Scott, Melanie and boys. (Hodin)

I wish to express my deepest sympathy to Kris' family and friends over her loss. She was a remarkable person and therapist and I had the pleasure of knowing her and working with her at SEDOL. She was truly an amazing woman and she will be missed-but she lives on in all of the wonderous things she has done and the lives she has touched.

Kris was truly a remarkable SLP. She always gave of herself so that others could improve, learn and move beyond. We shared many of the same children and spent hours discussing ways to make their lives better. Kris will always be in my heart and in my thoughts as I continue to problem solve ways to improve the lives of children.

Mrs. Kris taught my son just last year. She had created a wonderfull tool for him to use, that he just loved. She gave him "Good Voice" and "Bad Voice" tickets - this worked so well that he started giving us tickets at home! He loved the tickets and special books she gave him at the end of the year. She will be greatly missed by Ben. Our deepest sympathy is with her loved ones and God bless.

My sympathy to the family over your loss. Kristine's work in helping the many students and their families communicate more effectively is the great legacy she left others. Through their ability to talk more effectively, she will have left a permanent gift to society.

To the Gast Family,
I have known Kris for over 30 years as a member of the SLP Department at SEDOL. As the SLP Coordinator, and as so many of the other therapists in the department we were always in awe of the amazing and creative therapy activities that Kris willingly shared with us.

I have thought during the past week about Kris's 30+ years of service to SEDOL, and realized that she has probably provided therapy and given the gift of language and communication to almost...

To the Fitzsimmons, Gast and Krause families--It was a privilege to have known Kris. We will always remember her warmth and kindness to us, when we attended family occasions as friends of Jan, Bud and all of you. My family and I are so sorry that you have lost her wonderful, lovely presence. We are thinking of you and send you our love--
