Lacey Wingham Gallagher

GALLAGHER--Lacey Wingham, 45, of New York, New York, beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt and niece, died on February 27, 2008. Lacey departed this earth peacefully at New York Presbyterian Hospital after a three year battle with ovarian cancer surrounded by her family and a close friend. Lacey was born on June 28, 1962 in New York to Trudi and Hugh Gallagher. Lacey grew up on the east coast and abroad, most notably in Hong Kong and the Philippines. She graduated from Wellesley College and Princeton University's prestigious Woodrow Wilson School and had a distinguished career as an emerging markets economist, most recently as a Managing Director at Credit Suisse. She was also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Lacey loved travel, people and all things beautiful. She radiated joy to all who knew her. Lacey is survived by her husband, Mark Carlebach of New York City; parents Trudi and Hugh Gallagher of Armonk, NY; brother Keith Gallagher, niece and nephew Jessica and Matthew Gallagher of Scottsdale, AZ; uncle Roman Weber of Geneva, Switzerland; and minischnauzer, Trixie -all of whom loved her and felt loved by her. Family will receive friends on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9pm at Frank E. Campbell, 1076 Madison Ave at 81st St. Funeral services Monday 11:30am at Frank E. Campbell.
