Not sure what to say?

I have never met Lanore, but recently acquired on of her original works of calligraphic art. I am an artist and designer, which is why I can appreciate the artistic mastery in her work. What a gifted artist she was, and no doubt a beautiful person as well! I am so sorry to all of you who knew her, loved her and have had to go on without her. As an avid art collecter and art dealer, I always like to give immediate family members of an artist the chance to acquire their work first, before I...

Dear Bill and John, Auntie Skip and Uncle Jim were a wonderful part of our family as were you and John. Your mom was my first babysitter and closer than any blood relative. She was an amazing example for many young women in our community. She really "did it all". I have her portrait of me ,at 3 ,on my wall to this day. Love Heid

John,

I was sorry to hear about your mom.

She leaves you many found memories, and I know how you charished your time with her. You were fortunate to be able to spend the past few years with her.

The book you gave me (for the granddaughters) just before you left Fortuna, is in a special place in my family room. She was a very talented lady.

As always, the very best to you and Bill.

Dear John & Bill
Your folks were great inspiration for us Arcata kids. I think of your Dad so tall with a perpetual twinkle in his eye and as a high schooler discovering my own artistic talent with which I make my living, your Mom was a remarkable mentor. In my parent's home in Fieldbrook we have one of the original pen/ink/watercolor pieces she did of an alley scene in Arcata. It is fabulous.

John, I know these past years with your Mom's illness have been hard. I hope she...

I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Cady's passing. She was my calligraphy Professor at CR. She was filling in for the Art Prof who was on Sabatical. I will never forget her enthusiasm and excitement in teaching. She was a true teacher and mentor.
RIP Lanore.

Dear John and Bill,
I'm very sorry, in hearing of the loss of your Mother.
I have read everything I could possibly find about your Mother.
What a remarkable woman!
Your in my thoughts,sending love.

We knew her as Skip: delighted with life, always a lady. We have some of her work to remind us of the influence she had on our lives. We will always hold her in our hearts this beautiful and talented woman.

Dear Bill and John,
Thank you for sharing your mom, my Godmother, with our family for all of these years. I have missed her greatly and treasure the calligraphy of "splendor in the grass" that she made for me for my high school graduation.
I have been thinking of her so much these last years but couldn't find her/you. She is the last of that generation that had those crazy parties, camping in the Redwoods and the great times your Dad & Mom had in Arcata. Your dad took great care...

Bill and John ("The Little Dude"), As you well know, your Mom was a treasure. Rich has many years of memories of you, your Mom & your Dad, "Spider Monkey" (your Dad's nick-name with many of his high school students). She gave us a precious gift, a framed (origninal)Personalized Calligraphy on our wedding day 12/21/75. It was put up on our wall at that time and it remains there. We smile every time we look at it. We will remember her positive outlook & artistic talent. She will forever...
