Not sure what to say?

RIP to my favorite sports journalist. Our personal interactions were just a couple of DMs and emails but as a fan of the NHL and great writing I feel his loss. It has been great to read so many tributes to him and find out he was as great a person as he was a professional.

To Jordie- Eric and I wish to convey our deepest sympathies to you and your family on Larry´s passing. We go back to Ardsley Little League days and hockey practices and games at the then new Greenburgh rink. We´re is the Wake ? Funeral arrangements?

I am so grateful as a hockey and Ranger fan that Larry Brooks was the constant that I could read each day for all things with the Rangers and the NHL. Also, I recall asking him hockey questions a few times when you could email him and he always responded within a day or two. Thank you Larry, for all your great informative articles during the week and "Slap Shots" on Sunday. You were the best and you will be missed.

One of a kind. The premiere hockey sportswriter for in the country for decades and a legend. Irreplaceable. What a loss. Condolences to his family and friends. May he RIP.

He was the reason I read the Post . They weren´t articles he was writing for us. He was telling us a story informing and entertaining-that was beauty of his style! That NY wit and grit was a tone on the back pages that cannot be replicated again Your loss is ours too!
