Mr. Conrad will be sorely missed. Our deepest sympathy to the family. Our son, Collin, took french horn lessons for several years under his guidance. Such a kind and caring individual. His mother, Anita, went to Switzerland on a trip with a group that included my parents. They remembered her fondly. Such a small world and we were privileged to have Larry Conrad in it.

I will miss Larry. A good friend from West High, ASU and Phx Sympnony.

There are people you encounter throughout your life that change your course, set you on a good path, or guide you in ways that you cannot fully fathom at that time. One of those people in my life was Larry A. Conrad. Many of you who I count as friends have heard me recount how I came to play trombone. Larry Conrad is the band director at JB Sutton School who told me, "All I have left to rent is a trombone. Everything else is already taken. You could learn the trombone." Almost 5 decades later...
