Christie - Joe & I just learned of Larry's passing last week and were very saddened by this news. I have read many of the tributes to Larry and am amazed at what an impact he had on others and what a truly genuine individual he was. Joe & I enjoyed catching up with Larry at the gym and running/tri events. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time and hope you find peace in the days ahead.

I'm very sad to hear about the passing of Coach Covelli. He was such a wonderful mentor to me, and always encouraged me to be my best. I always appreciated his pure kindness, and love for fun. He will be missed.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Covelli. He was my 5th grade teacher at Allard Elementary (80-81 school year), as well as my track coach at Moon HS. I have 2 distinct memories I would like to share.
The first was in 5th grade. Christmas was approaching and I couldn't figure out what gift to get Mr. C. My Mom finally decided that we would get him a bottle of wine! (imagine doing that today). So here we are all gathered around Mr. C while he is opening these Christmas gifts...

Mrs. Covelli, so sorry for your loss. Mr. Covelli was the best coach and nicest teacher. May he rest in peace! Thanks for the encouragement and kindness!

Sorry for your loss.Praying for all of the Family at this sad time.

I was saddened to hear of Larry's passing. We were friends and neighbors during our childhood on Mt Washington and a finer person I never met. My sincerest condolences to the Covelli family and may you RIP.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I will never forget Coach Covelli and the love he had for us. He used to take us on hard, long runs but his presence made them fun. I will never forget the impact he had on my life. I pray you will feel God's love and peace during this difficult time.

Christie,

I want to express my sympathy to you and your family for your loss. Larry was a fantastic teacher and even more importantly, a wonderful person. I consider myself fortunate to have known him and to have worked with him. After I retired I would see him occasionally at track meets. He was always so personable and a joy to talk with. I always enjoyed seeing you two as well. You and Larry were always so positive and supportive. I will always cherish fond memories of Larry. ...
