I worked with Larry, a gentle man, at Chaffey College where he was my boss--my favorite of any of my jobs, then or since. It was Larry who showed me that humanness goes a long way in the leading of people, and I always tried to use his example in my own supervisory role down the line. He will be missed and very long remembered.

Cousin Larry was always ready with a quick smile, a witty remark and an understanding nod. We are so blessed to have had him in our family. He showed always his love and passion for life through family (Tio Pete, Henry, Bill and their families, Tia Sally, Tio Frank, Tio Ernest), politics, horticulture, baseball, good food and history. He enriched our lives so much.
Larry, you are so loved by us. You will always live on in our hearts and prayers.

I am saddened by the loss of Larry Hernandez, such a thoughtful, knowledgeable and open man, rare qualities these days. I never met him personally but was deeply moved by him through our internet roundtable group. I was aware that Larry by his own allowance was affected by major medical issues. Yet still he was sensitive to those other issues of the day that don't seem so important now.
I will sorely miss Larry, not so much because we shared much the same philosophy, but because he cared.

I never met Larry, but I feel that I knew him through the thought-provoking political and historical postings he contributed to the "Politiwackos" discussion group. His erudition, sincerity and passion will be much missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Hernandez family. Larry was a very kind, passionate and generous man who gave of his life for what he believed in through his actions as well as writings. He cared about this country and the Democratic Party. Both Peter and I will totally miss as a friend as well as appreciate all of his support to the IVDC and everything he did.
