Not sure what to say?

I clearly remember Larry Highbaugh playing basketball with the kids on a special visit to D.S. Mackenzie Jr. High School in the late 1970s when I was a student there. He always seemed to me to be a great role model and ambassador to the Edmonton Eskimos football team.

Great memories of watching him play live at the old Clarke Stadium in Edmonton. He was the hero of me and many of my friends.

He used to play against me in pick up basketball games at Indiana University, despite being a star football player he was down to earth, great person.

Very very few people know that Larry took me under his wing in 1978 after my father took his own life ,Larry owned a sports store in Meadowlark mall called "Runners World" my widowed mother could not afford to enroll me in sports or the cost of equipment that's where Larry came into the life of a troubled child me Randall Loiseau he new I was struggling with life in particular school so Larry with his bigger than life heart payed for and supplied and supported me in my first...

Chickiebird

Larry was one of my best friends at Indiana University from 1968 to 1981. I met Larry first at the Indiana track and field state championship held at Indianapolis Washington. I held his starting blocks with my foot so that the blocks didn't slip when he set the 100 yd dash record in 1967. Larry and I were teammates at IU. He gave me the name, "Chickiebird". Larry got the first and last block for me when I returned a punt for 60 yds against Kentucky and scored a touchdown. Larry stayed at my...
