My condolences to the entire Weiss Family. Mr. Weiss was a wonderful Man and I have many memories of growing up down the street from he and his family.
Then, when I made it to Ventura High School, his reputation was incredible. The Students all loved him.
He was an inspiration to so many Musicians.
May he rest in peace.

Larry Weiss was a true hero to me. He represented everything that I wanted to be as a musician and as a person. He was the most influential teacher I've ever had and I will always love him and cherish the memories.

Thoughts and prayers to Mr Weiss's family. I had him in a couple classes. I was never in band, I think I had him for history and drivers Ed. He was truly one of my better instructors, he had to be, because I usually slept through history and I didn't in his class. Over 20 years later and I still remember him. Rest in peace and feel accomplished! -Class of 89

My prayers go out to all of the family and friends of Mr. Weiss. Mr. Weiss had so much passion for music that left a huge impression on everyone he came into contact with. I enjoyed my years in the concert, marching & pep band. I can still recall during the marching band days Mr. Weiss would say: "Horton - Guide Right". It was a pleasure to be one of his many students, and in the later years when we would run into each other out in town, Mr. Weiss would still remember my name. He will be...

Mr. Weiss will always hold a very special place in my heart...three years as part of the "family" that was choir at VHS, as well as the wonderful music he gave us through the Concert Band. Thank you, Weiss Family, for bringing us all a little closer by sharing your personal thoughts with us at the service. It was truly lovely and a wonderful tribute.

From 1964 through 1967 Mr. Weiss was my teacher for Music Appreciation (sophomore year), Band and Choir (senior year). His humor and his talent are foremost in my memory. He was a gentleman in the truest sense of the word, and one of my favorite teachers. He will be long remembered.
