Larry Wingate

Larry was forever our LEADER ..Class of 1961....both on and off the field. See ya in due time my great Friend!

Our heartfelt sympathy to Don and Paul and all the family in the loss of your dear parents. We have such sweet memories of Larry and Sandra and you boys at ballgames so many years ago. Sandra and Larry welcomed Ceasar and me when we became neighbors over 20 years ago. Their kindness was always evident and we wil miss them terribly. We send our heartfelt love and condolences to their sons and families and all who loved them.

Larry was a classmate and graduated with the WI HI Class of 1961. It is sad to hear of his passing and that we have lost another class member. My heart and prayers go out to his family after they have just dealt with his wife's death.

It has been a pleasure knowing Larry and Sandra for over 40 years. Our children went to the same schools, The Carolina Theatre, Junior Woman's Club, and we lived in the same neighborhood. Larry and Sandra were special people and they will be greatly missed by everyone who knew them. This must be overwhelming for their two sons and extended family to lose both of them right before Christmas. It is difficult to even express the sorrow of this. Larry and I were classmates at Wake Forest. After graduation in 1965, I would see Larry and Sandra at The Jokers 3 on Sunday nights. Larry was a huge fan of Wake Forest University. Larry would always be at our class reunions. When I attended Wake Forest football bowl games I would see and visit with Larry and Sandra. I will miss Larry's good humor, kind words and friendship.
