When I first met Laurie, I thought she was one of the prettiest girls I had ever seen. That was almost 40 years at John Muir where Laurie was a young surgical nurse and I was an OR secretary/scheduler. Laurie's love and concern for animals is legend, but I wonder how many knew that she was a gifted writer -- a talent I always hoped she would cultivate. She was also a good teacher and helped me become a better listener. I loved hearing her laughter when she was happy, and I was thrilled...

Laurie and I met working together at Mt. Diablo Hospital over 29 years ago! Thank you Laurie for all the love,blood, sweat, and tears of a wonderful friendship! I can't wait to see you again! The memories are too many to list and I hold you and them in my heart!! Good bye my sister! Heaven has a beautiful new Angel!!

Laurie and I worked together at Mt Diablo 'in the Old days'. She was a wonderful nurse and a good friend.
