Not sure what to say?

To the Yingling/Soleau Family: It was a great honor and privilege to have known Laurie and cared for her in the winter of her life. Her gift to counsel and guide will forever be etched in my heart, as she brought this to me every day. We tended to her secret garden often, and shared many special thoughts as we worked together. Lauries love of nature was so evident in all that she created. Laurie opened her heart and home to numerous strayed and abandoned animals for many years as she...

I will miss my big sister very much....although 9 years older, we had a very close relationship. She was very proud of her little brother and his military service to our nation. She would visit us often wherever the Army would send us. She was a unique person, caring and interested in all things. I will miss her. God bless her and her family.

I only met Laurie once. We shared the happiest of family holidays together - Christmas. She had come down to Georgia to visit her brother and his family. As we military folk often do, we were combining efforts and celebrating together. It was a treat, after all of these years of hearing about Laurie, to finally meet her and host her in my home. She immediately fit in and I hope, had a wonderful time. I know she added to our enjoyment of the holiday that year. May God bless you Laurie,...

I am the mother of Ann Yingling. Laurie and I went to Korea together to visit Ann and Jay in 2000, and we had such a great time. I am so sorry to hear of your mother's death.
And we both spent Christmas with Ann and Jay in Atlanta in 2007.

My maiden name was Laurie Kennon Stout and now I am Kennon Ibbeken. I am Pete and Micki Stout's daughter and my given name was after Laurie Soleau. It has been years since I have seen Laurie, but I have the fondest of memories of the times that she would visit or we would go on vacation. She added different level of excitement to our day to day schedule when she would visit. She was a prankster, playful, fun and we never had to go to bed on time when she was staying over. I was deeply...

In tears we saw you sinking
And watched you fade away.
Our hearts were broken,
We wanted you to stay.
But when we saw you sleeping,
So peacful and free from pain.
How could we wish you back with us
To suffer again.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you,
The day God Called you home.

Mom - I love you and find great comfort with your presence around me. I will miss seeing and hearing you, but love and...

Laurie and I were great friends growing up in Alexandria, Virginia, and even though I have lived in CA for 40 years, she and I have remained close, and have had many wonderful trips together over the past 10-15 years. Her love of family and friends gave her much joy.
Laurie, may you rest in peace and comfort. Love, Mary Lee

Dear Stephanie It is with deep sadness that I read of the loss of your dear Mother. She was my next door neighbor for many years; we shared some fun moments and a few lovely lunches and definitely more than a few laughs. I loved her adventurous spirit and I must say I believe she lived life to its' fullest! My sympathies go to you, Chris, and your beautiful families at this sad time. I will always remember Laurie just by looking at her garden which she tended to so lovingly.
