Not sure what to say?

Dr. Gardner was my fellowship Program Director. He was one of the most caring and brilliant hematologist I have ever met. His presence will always be missed. My best to his enduring family. Rest in peace Lawrence, I hope my former fellows and I are making you proud.

It is with great sadness I only learned of Lawrence's passing today. I was lucky enough to train in the lab next to his and always appreciated his guidance or thoughts on the experiments we were working on. I will always think of him with fond memories and a smile.

I only just learned of Dr. Gardner's passing today. I only met him once for a consultation and he was very kind and thoughtful in reviewing my case. We traded parenting stories. He clearly adored his family. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing and that he was preceded by his wife. Such a terrible loss at such a young age. My thoughts are with their family and especially with their daughter.

Lawrence was a great person! I worked with him for a couple of years in NYU. I will remember forever his kindness, generosity and friendship with me. I am in tears..

I lived in the same building (a vertical block association) and babysat for Lawrence, so my memories go back a long way. He was a sweet inquisitive kid, and great fun. I did not know him in his professional and rich family life, but none of the wonderful comments and memories here surprise me. He was a special kid, a special man, and from a special family. My love to Jackie, Sarah and Tom

I worked with Dr. Gardner for several years as his Medical Assistant on Fridays during his time at The NYU Ambulatory Center. He was kind, funny and a delight to work for. I will never forget him!

Dr. Gardner was one of the kindest and most thoughtful people I had the pleasure of working for at NYU. His passing is a terrible loss and he will be missed.

I do not know either Katie or Lawrence but I do not PS 166, 44 and Bronx Science where I attended x3 and B'nai Jesherun where I grew up. To know these experiences were his life brings me comfort at this time. May his life continue to serve as a blessing for Evie guide us to live as he lived.

There is less light in the world with Lawrence's passing. His kindness, generosity and sense of humor were unsurpassed. He was a phenomenal man.
