Dear Gayle and family. I am very sorry to hear about Larry's passing. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Larry was a great archeologist and historian. I met him in the early 1990s when he helped me with research for my book Peachtree Creek. In the following years he made many contributions to its content, accuracy, and direction, both from his vast historical knowledge of Atlanta and resources from his personal collections. His contributions were far greater than he would ever...

I knew Larry for many years, starting when we both worked for the old Georgia Historical Commission in the 1960s. We had kept up but I had not seen him for several years. I saw the AJC obit.

With deepest sympathy to the Meier family during your time of grief...Psalm 46:1...God is for us a refuge and strength, A help that is readily to be found during difficult times...May God provide you with peace and comfort to endure the days ahead.
