Dear Gayle and family. I am very sorry to hear about Larry's passing. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Larry was a great archeologist and historian. I met him in the early 1990s when he helped me with research for my book Peachtree Creek. In the following years he made many contributions to its content, accuracy, and direction, both from his vast historical knowledge of Atlanta and resources from his personal collections. His contributions were far greater than he would ever accept credit for. Atlanta has lost a great resource, and for many of us, a good friend. All the Best in these difficult times. Dave K.

I knew Larry for many years, starting when we both worked for the old Georgia Historical Commission in the 1960s. We had kept up but I had not seen him for several years. I saw the AJC obit.

To the Meier Family:

In this difficult time in your lives, may you find comfort in God's Word, the Bible. James 4:8 encourages; "Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you."

My condolences,
