Not sure what to say?

I was fortunate to visit New Orleans in 2014 and visited the restaurant. I met and took pics with Ms. Leah and
she was so warm and made us feel so welcome. My deepest condolences to her immediate family and the New Orleans family. RIP Queen.

I certainly miss knowing Mrs. Leah is no longer with us. The remembrance of Mrs. Leah will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of those who have known her and about the time her role during the civil rights movement. The likeness of her is sealed, never to be ever again, but inspire many to find themselves planning meals for family and friends.

What a beautiful woman Miss Leah was. As the family goes through this difficult time I offer my sincerest condolences and may the God of all comfort be with each and every one of you.

Chef Mark Wilson & Chef Leah Chase

May the God of comfort see you and your family through this difficult, and trying time. At times like this we often want to be alone, and while this is ok. Remember the love of family and friends, and don't be afraid to turn to them. Share a funny memory with them to bring a smile to your face, as well as theirs.

Mrs. LEAH CHASE WAS A HUMBLE WOMAN OF CLASS,HONOR AND PERFECTION TO AND FOR US,HER PEOPLE AND THE WORLD. SHE WAS AND WILL REMAIN A LIGHT IN DARK PLACES THAT WILL TEACH AND GIVE ON THROUGH HER LEGACY FOR GENERATIONS TO COME. SLEEP ON ANGELS WING (MOTHER CHASE) FOR YOU WERE BLESSED AND LEFT A BLESSING.

My deepest condolences to the Chase family. I was so fortunate to have moved to N. O. with my husband Brian Mickler back in 1977 and was introduced to Mrs. Chase by Jim Dombrowski, my husband's uncle who was very much involved with the civil rights movement in the 60's. Jim would hold his dinner art party at Dooky Chase restaurant every Dec. I was so fortunate to know Mrs. Chase. We will truly miss her beautiful smile! R.I.P.
