We've lost a dear friend. Her presence always brightned a room. Talking with her was sometimes a one-way street and it may have taken some effort to get a word in edgewise. But what wisdom she shared. We were always uplifted by her presence. She loved her dogs: Lilly and Derringer and treated them with a careful balance of patience and discipline. When crusading for a purpose, she was a determined but charming advesary. The lives she touched are better for having known her.

Leah was one of the first people we met at Imperial Wilderness and with our home being in Charlottesville, Va we had a lot to talk about. She was a gracious and humorous lady to be with.
