Not sure what to say?

Can't believe that 15years have come and gone by without one of the kindest and most influential men I've known in my lifetime. We miss you Lee and all the great times we shared together.

What a wonderful human being we have lost. Lee was always there to greet vendors like me with a genuine smile and handshake and I will cherish my memories of him. Having learned this sad news just yesterday, I will keep Skip and the Hartman family as well as his extended family of employees in my prayers. Peace be with you, Lee.

Skip, I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Lee, He was a wonderful person and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. May his soul rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sorrowful time. God Bless Susie

Dear Skip, You and Lee are continually in my thoughts as you continue on the journey. May peace and courage be your companions and know that you are loved by many, many friends

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

Skip, I was sad upon hearing the news of Lee. Tinker Mountain will not be the same. I will always remember meeting you and Lee and the wonderful spread of food you prepared.

We miss you Uncle Lee. You have taught me so much and forever in my heart you will be. You were one of the best men I knew and I looked up to you. We have some big shoes to fill.

--RIP Uncle Lee--

My association with Lee Hartman and Sons(the business side) goes all the way back to 1967,'68 and '69 when the company produced the LP albums for the William Fleming High School choir performances at Washington National Cathedral. I still listen to that music(I had it copied to cds). But the greatest collaboration I can remember was trying to hang a new patio door in the Tinker house after Lee and Skip gave me the standard tour of the "towers". What fun that was, and how genuinely unselfish...

Thank you, Lee, on behalf of the countless students and teachers in the Polk County (FL) public schools touched by your unselfish generosity and your remarkable service. You provided our TV Production Students of the Year with wonderful prizes for two decades and that honor will now be known as the Lee Hartman Student of the Year Award. More importantly, you provided all of us with a role model for how to treat others.

God bless,
