I just happened across Lee's obituary by accident. I was devastated when I saw he had passed away. Lee was on the Finance Committee at Beach Cities Health District when I was the Associate Director and Finance Officer. I absolutely loved Lee. He was so full of life and a breath of fresh air at our Finance Committee meetings.
I retired from the District in 2001 and moved back to my hometown of Evansville, Indiana. He couldn't make it to my retirement party but made a video for me...

My condolences to Lee's loved ones. I'm very sorry for your loss and extend my condolences. May you be comforted by Jehovah's promise to soon remove all causes of sadness (Jeremiah 29:11). May your hearts have peace.

Leo and Cheri - so very sad to hear about Lee. With our seats being together at U of L football for years, we watched all of our kids grow up - first yours and then ours! Recall how many times Lee gave autographs at the Liberty Bowl on a frigid night in Memphis! You are in our prayers and we love you! Bob and Jane Maxey

I knew Lee in the 90's. We were neighbors and we belonged to the same gym. "Leo" knew how to throw a great keg gear. Ran into him last year and it was if no time had passed. I am shocked and saddened by the sudden loss. My prayers are with his family and girlfriend.
