Not sure what to say?

Dear Faith, I was thinking of Lee and our growing up and med school days, so I searched. I am so sorry. I never got to see him again since med school. What a great buddy he was, helping me with homework, doing crazy things, keeping everyone laughing while we were under such stress. Once in 5th grade he boasted he could jump the hedge ( age 12) but caught his foot on the wire running thru it and smashed face down on the curb. 2 black eyes, horrible swollen face with headaches, he...

I worked for Dr. Shine when he was in practice with Dr. Maxon, Dr. Dawson and Dr. Farley. It was one of the best jobs because they were so ethical and caring. Dr. Shine chastised me for something when he call in from the hospital. I didn't say anything back and when he returned to the office he apologized because I hadn't done what he thought. The full staff just about fell down because they had never heard him apologize before. And when he dictated some medical words on tape for me to...

Can you call me soon Chris cease

To Faith and Family, I have just now heard of Dr Shine's passing and am deeply saddened. I was fortunate to have been one of his family practice residents in the late 1980s and learned so much during my time with him. He was a great mentor and he made medicine fun. I especially enjoyed our friendship over the years and the times I visited your farm. I have fond memories of our soup lunches at Good Sam when I worked there, too. Lee made everyone feel like an old friend. I can't tell you the...

Dr. Shine was covering for Dr. Gay the weekend that my mother passed away. She had been in the hospital for over 3 weeks. Dr. Shine offered such good advice and medical care and comfort through this difficult time. I did not know Dr. Shine prior to that experience. He helped not only our mother at the end of her life but he helped us as well. I will never forget his kindness.

His enthusiasm for life was boundless and contagious, as was his sharing spirit. His mentoring and friendship had an invaluable impact on my life as they did on the lives of so many others. He was always larger than life, a true renaissance man whose memory will forever bring a smile in the hearts of those who knew him. May you be blessed with peace and comfort.

Wife and children, I am so sorry for your loss. He was my Doctor for
over 30 years. We shared so much from gardening to politics. When I had an office visit I could count on being there 2 hours. We all loved him dearly. He was my mother's doctor also. I hated to see him retire so bad. He treated me for the same illiness he had. I miss him a lot.
