I just learned about Lee's passing. We were camping in Northern California during the months of May and June so I didn't see his obituary in the paper. I will always have fond memories of Lee of the times we shared as congregants and choir members when I was a member at Gethsemane. My mother, Arlyne Smith, also thought highly of him, thus it was our honor to have Lee sing at her funeral in 2004. Lee was an especially upbeat person who radiated friendliness and kindness. I was honored to play the piano for one of his installations as Worshipful Master, which he told me was his connection to our shared love of Job's Daughters. "Soft and safe to thee, my Brother, be thy resting place!" Until we meet again, Lee.
