Not sure what to say?

In 1966 I moved to Hartford from Chicago, Illinois to be a help to my older sister. I was a freshman in high school and didn´t know anyone in Hartford. Somewhere during my brief stay in Hartford I crossed paths with Lee Otis. I was from Chicago so I had seen my share of great basketball player but I had never seen a basketball player shoot the ball like Lee Otis. We became best friends the year I was there. He was a great basketball player and even better person. This was over 50 years ago...

Gone but not forgotten! Hard to believe 8 years have passed since that day the Lord called you home. Til we meet again. Rest In Peace. I love you

I just heard of Lee's passing; Hartford is so small and sometimes news travels slowly; my deepest sympathy to the entire family; I've known Lee for years from Brackett Northeast, and the Westland Street neighborhood, he will be missed. May Almighty God give you the comfort you need during this sorrowful time.

Lee I will miss him.a true baller.Weaver Graduate ,We played many basketball games, all hard .l will never forget your Uconn days ,we were so proud of you.I knowGod has a spot on his team for you.RIP GodBless

Just got the news today,.. wow. It has been a long time since I have seen Lee Otis. We all know he was an iconic athlete. A basketball player with range on his jump shot from half court on in..and that's for real. I most remember him during a game at Weaver High he stoped his play got into the balcony section, and saved my sister from an asault.. that is the kind of man he was... I also remember him & I playing & beating Steve Harris & Preston Jackson 2 on 2 at UCONN during the black student...

To The Wilson Family,

My prayers are with you during this time of transition. I only heard today of the departure of my friend Lee Otis. He gave me the needed encouragement to stand up for myself while we were attending Brackett Northeast School. I will always remember Lee. God Bless each of you. Love to you all.

Daphne,
I just heard about Lee. My deepest and sincere sympathy to you and your family. May God bless and keep you strong during your time of sorrow.
