Not sure what to say?

Dear Goheen family,

We are very sorry for the loss of Uncle Carl and the long time of difficulty you have experienced with his illness over the past several years. Dad and Carl loved and enjoyed each other so much through many happy and difficult times. We are praying often that the Lord will comfort you in your sorrow.

I will miss my grandpa very much. I did not get to see him much, but I enjoyed it when I did. I loved hearing all his stories when my family visited he and grandma.

I will miss Grandpa. His stories were always captivating. Sometimes they were so funny he would be laughing while he was telling it and sometimes they were so intense I would be on the edge of my seat.I will always remember how special that was that he shared so much with me and my family. My heart goes out to Grandma and all his family and friends.

Carl and Helene, Christmas with us in Provo, Utah, 1947

Carl will always be remembered for his good nature, easy laughter, and quick wit. Our families came together far too infrequently but the memories are all wonderful and are still fresh.

On behalf of my family, thank you for taking the time to sign this online registry. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. on Friday, July 30, 2010 at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery near Springfield Lake in Springfield, MO. A casual Remembrance gathering will be at the Elfindale Clubhouse (1707 W Elfindale) 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. on Friday, July 30, 2010.

My Uncle Carl. I think of him now as I remember him in my youth. Always happy and full of life. Our families shared so many activities together and it was a blessing to have my Aunt Helene and Uncle Carl as part of my life.

Randy, My thoughts are with you & your family at this time.
Prayers of strength & endurance are with your mom.
Until you meet him again on God's ground, My the memories you shared put a smile on your face & warmth in your heart.

Helene, I was so sorry to learn of Carl's passing. Martha sent me a note this morning (Mon). Can't feature you or Carl being that old. Seems as though you both should still be about 40. Time does pass quickly. We will keep you and all the family in our prayers. Love, Maurice (Rece) Cochran
