I worked with Leo at St. Regis from 1975 to 1982. Leo was the head lumber grader when I worked in the planer mill. I remember him as being the most knowledgeable person I ever knew about lumber. I was just a common laborer who pulled lumber off the chain after it was graded and stamped. Leo would often walk down the chain and talk to the the guys working along the chain.
