Not sure what to say?

These many years later, Leon is now being reunited with his wonderful wife Muriel and his close friend Fargo. What a reunion that must be. I believe Fargo & Muriel left at the same time so Fargo could Hold open the Golden Gates for Muriel (because that's the Cowboy way) to be greeted by Leon.

Dad was a wonderful man. He was my rock, my stability. He taught me how to be independent and not to always rely on other people for things I could do myself. He taught me how to be a responsible and caring person. He was always kind, considerate, thoughtful, practical and a great teacher of life. I think of him all the time and miss him more now than ever. What a great father, husband and person. He is sorely missed and I love him dearly.
Your loving daughter, Theresa

Miss you Dad. The holidays will never be the same. You were the best Dad in the world. I love you.

Leon had a heart of gold, a smile worth a million and eyes that twinkled like diamonds. Any one who knew him is richer for it. My condolences and prayers go out to his family.

I have such fond childhood memories of Leon and his birds. My dad, Rene Faller, used to take us to see Leon and every so often we got to take a couple chicks or a new pheasant home to our atrium. Going to see Leon is one of the best memories I have of spending time with my Dad who is also deceased. I believe my passion for animals began from watching Leon and how he cared for his. Thank you Leon, you touched my life in a way I'm so grateful for.

Our family was saddened to hear Leon was sick, and even more saddened to hear he passed. Leon was a man that never sat down to rest or take a breath. He always had that great smile on his face no matter what he was working on.We knew him from the poultry scene he and Muriel worked so hard to make successful. Thank you both for all your hard work.
We will remember Leon fondly and we pray that he is at peace.

Celebrating the life of Leon Ewer! What a fascinating time he had..he will be missed by many.
Goodbye Grandpa, thanks for....encouraging me to try the salt block I saw the cow lick! Showing me how to pick cotton. Finding my first $400 car. Showing us more animals up close than I have ever seen in any zoo. Giving us all tales to tell...and finding time to attend the important events, all three weddings required a road trip, you really were tough in Illinois!
And most of all, thanks...

Thank you Leon. My '62 Ranchero is still running!

Muriel,it is with sadness I write to tell you what a great friendly, helpful man Leon was to us as total strangers when our birds were killed by a bobcat.I hope you are at peace knowing you will be reunited in the afterlife.Don and Susan Anderson
