To all of Leon's family and friends, I am so sad that I just learned of Leon's death today and therefore did not know about/could not attend the Memorial Service on Monday. I live in Leon's apartment building and he was a very special friend of mine, always so kind to me and my children. Over the years we had many great conversations on so many different topics. I would like to live (have lived) my life in a way that I would be remembered with as much love as my brother Leon will be remembered with.

Leon, I've known you all my life. What a gap this leaves. You were an anchor for me. I love how much you cared about us all. You loved me no matter what. Priceless. You won't be here in Boston for Thanksgiving. Little Leon won't know you more. But I regret nothing and thank you, thank you, thank you for our richness together.

Leon was very special to me. I always called him "my favorite uncle", and used to tell him that, whenever we met.

Leon was the kindest, most generous person I know! After my father died, he was the closest the to a father to me.
