Dear Leon,
You helped me make it through the illness and death of one your best friends here in Los Angels (David K) You made me feel like I was a saint for taking care of David. I really enjoyed you coming out here to see David and I. Thank you for all our talks and I will miss you very much.

"Uncle Leon", two of the most exciting words a little boy ever heard.
Thank You

To all of Leon's family and friends, I am so sad that I just learned of Leon's death today and therefore did not know about/could not attend the Memorial Service on Monday. I live in Leon's apartment building and he was a very special friend of mine, always so kind to me and my children. Over the years we had many great conversations on so many different topics. I too will always remember the twinkle in his eyes and his great warmth and sense of humor. All my best and please accept my condolences, Mary Johnson

I would like to live (have lived) my life in a way that I would be remembered with as much love as my brother Leon will be remembered with.

Leon, I've known you all my life. What a gap this leaves. You were an anchor for me. I love how much you cared about us all. You loved me no matter what. Priceless. You won't be here in Boston for Thanksgiving. Little Leon won't know you more. But I regret nothing and thank you, thank you, thank you for our richness together.

Leon was very special to me. I always called him "my favorite uncle", and used to tell him that, whenever we met.
Leon was the kindest, most generous person I know! After my father died, he was the closest the to a father to me.

I am leaving your graveside at this moment, still in a state of disbelief. You were ageless, so you were supposed to live forever. Who will make sense of the universe for us? Zekher tzaddik livrakha. May the memory of this righteous one be a blessing.

Dear Uncle Leon,
There were times we were very close, there were times, not so much. In any case, I promise you to try my best to only visit the past for fond memories, not for regrets.
Love, Karen
