I woke up this morning and had memories of Leon and the Sudbury Drug Store!!! Such a warm and lovely place to be mornings with Sudbury residents . But I also remember Leon telling me not to take a drug prescribed by a psychrist from B. C . Who was later fired for malpractice!!! Leon said that the drug would change my personality and was not good for me! What a great human being Leon was. I shall remember him for saving me! May we meet again in heaven . RIP Leon

Leon and I shared many lunches together when he worked in Holliston. I have done much since then and recall his quiet inspiration. He would be happy to know that "the light came on".

Peter, your Mom and Dad were wonderful people . I cherished their friendship all those years ago. So very sorry for your loss.

My father has lived at Stone for 2 1/2 years, I visit most every day and most often except in winter would find Leon sitting outside, even when it was cold. He eventually connected with my dad who was a veterinarian in Connecticut and Leon talked about supplying all of the local veterinarians when he was at Abbot Labs. They sat next to each other most days in exercise class. I found out Leon was a founder of Buddy Dog, where my daughter adopted her dog; whenever my daughter would visit with the dog we would bring the dog over and say if it weren't for Leon, she wouldn't be here. He was a very kind man and my dad and I will miss him very much.

I was so sorry to hear of Leon's death. I met Leon when he arrived at Stone Institute, where my mother also resided. He became an instant friend after I remembered he was my pharmacist in Holliston. We would sit in the sun together and compare our tans. He would speak lovingly about his dear wife and about his children and grandchildren with pride. When I visited him, he would tell me that I made his day. Leon was a gentleman and a gentle man. I will miss him dearly.

I am so sorry to hear of Leon's passing. I worked in the pharmacy with him back when it was "Thayer pharmacy" and he was such a wonderful person, teacher and mentor. I learned so much from him at my years at Thayer.

Have known Leon since he worked in the Marshall's Apothecary and then for himself. Great guy. One afternoon as I walked into his drugstore, I noticed that the Christmas display in the front window was on fire !! I ran up front and told Leon.. He handed me a fire extinguisher and said. Go put it out !! So I did.
