Not sure what to say?

Leonard was a great guy. May he rest with Jesus forever!

"Mr. Brown" was my favorite coach at Western HS. He was always pleasant, upbeat, motivational and inspirational. I was strongly considering transferring to Butler HS during my Senior year because I loved the golfing staff there. But when I learned Mr. Brown was going to join us as coach at Western, I decided to stay put and I fully enjoyed my final year playing on the golf team there. Simply put, Mr. Brown was the greatest! May he rest in the arms of Jesus forever.

It is no trouble at all for me to call up vivid memories of my younger years, when Leonard and I spent many hours, nearly every day, playing basketball, football, baseball, or aggravating his brother Bill who was constantly preparing for a neighborhood magic show. I had many meals cooked by his sweet mother, and carried on many agitating conversations with his Uncle Leonard. I stayed overnight at least once a month, sometimes more, so Mrs.Brown had to have eternal patience to put up with...

I still miss seeing Mr. Brown. He would visit me at my office on a regular basis until I retired in 2003. I fondly remember him as my assistant golf coach at Western HS and how he was more like a regular guy having fun playing with us rather than coaching us. He always had an upbeat personality and liked to tell jokes on occasion. May he rest in the arms of Jesus.

Hard for me to believe that a year has passed since my boyhood friend, Leonard, passed away. Brother Bill and I have been in constant contact, and even spent some time together. Still, hard to believe Leonard is not here with us, at least on this earth. Keep resting in peace, pal Leonard. We will play golf and talk basketball again, sooner than we realize.

Gail, Dave and I remember sharing some time with you and Leonard following a Thoroughbreds’ concert in New Albany.
Thinking of you and your family and your loss. Much love, Dave and Ann Windley

So sorry to hear about Leonard.
Thoughts and Prayers to the family. He will be missed.

Mr. Brown was a wonderful person and teacher. He took a special interest in the class of '69. It was great to see him at our 50th reunion. I along with many others honor him and his memory and pray for his family. He will be missed.

Coach was a great mentor. He was very influential in my life. Perhaps moreso than any other person than my parents. Condolences to Gail and the family during this difficult time.
