DEAR GAYLE AND FAMILY, I HAD THE PLEASURE AND HONOR TO COACH LEN AT ST. ALPHONSUS. HE WAS THE FIRST BASKETBALL CAPTAIN I HAD AT THE SCHOOL. WHAT A LEADER AND GENUINE PERSON HE WAS. IF I WOULD HAVE BEEN ASKED TO CHOOSE AN ALL TIME TEAM DURING MY 6 YEARS AT ST. AL'S HE WOULD HAVE BEEN ONE OF THEM. HE WAS A COACHES DREAM. HE WORKED HARD AND WAS A SUPERB --WHAT THEY WOULD CALL NOW"A POINT GUARD". IN ONES COACHING LIFE YOU GET TO MEET A NUMBER OF FINE PEOPLE BUT I CAN HONESTLY SAY THERE WERE NONE...

Gayle, we were saddened to hear of Len's passing. Rick and I remember him from the MBA program as a smart and genuine person and very likeable. We're keeping you and your family in our prayers.

Dear Gayle, Laura, and Eric,
I wanted to express my condolences on Len's passing. I first met Len at the Univ. of Michigan in the fall of 1963. He was fresh out of high school, and I was a counselor in the residence halls: West Quad, Michigan House. A year ot 2 later Len, his 2 roommates, and I took a car trip to see the Michigan--Illinois football game in Champaign, ILL. Michigan won! I was shocked and saddened to learn of Len's sudden death. We were classmates in the Class of 1963 at St. Alphonsus High School in Dearborn MI. What a joy it was to see him in 2005 at the big school reunion in Dearborn. I know that he worked hard to help put that event together even though he was thousands of miles away. It was a "night to remember" and people still speak of it fondly. That is a great tribute to him. May he rest in peace.

We were very saddened to hear of Len's death. We will always remember the good times in Ann Arbor with both Len and Gayle. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I was saddened to hear the news about Len. I was a classmate at St. Alphonsus and though I had not seen him all these many years, there were a lot of memories -- from student council and the debate team. My sympathy to his family.

A tear came to my eye when I began to sign this guest book. Len and I first met in sixth grade, 1956. We played basketball that year and were in sports together from then on. I remember winning our league basketball championship in the eigth grade. We won one game by a score of 16 to 4. I remember winning our league track championship senior year.
