Not sure what to say?

I am very sad to be just now learning of the death of my friend Leo Neidhold. I had the honor of attending Music Camp at the University of Alaska with he and and other amazing brass players in Fairbanks in the 1970s. Leo was always exceptionally funny and light and knew what was important about a lifetime of teaching and the arts. I will never forget him. He was one of the few people who could really keep it real. Peace and center to you in whatever eternity you know, dear brother.

My fondest memories of Leonard are all the Thanksgivings we would share. The Milles and Neidhold families would alternate locations but we always enjoyed the gatherings!! Thank you and your memory will live on in our hearts.

The finest band instructor I have witnessed, Leonard could demonstrate every instrument in the band with a kindness and empathy to the student. On the bandstand, he was a force that only those of us who performed with him will understand. His influence on students will not fade away; neither will our memories of fishing, his pickup truck and his faithful dog.

Oh I am so very sorry to hear of Leonard's passing. My sincere condolences to Caryn and family. Leonard left me with the amazingly tasty recipe of stir fried broccoli with pesto, pine nuts, and green olives. Every time I make this I think of him. I'm so, sorry, Neihold family. And for Caryn and children, you have my deepest sympathy.

I am really sad that he's gone, not just about him being an amazing trimbone player, but he was my teacher at billinghurst. I feel bad because I feel like he understood me the most out of all my teachers, especially since I am playing trombone like he did. So I wanted to say that I am sorry he passed away and I hope his family can cope is loss.

Please accept our deepest sympathies for your loss. May the God of all comfort make your hearts firm at this difficult time. Find comfort in the words found at 2 Thessalonians 2:16, 17

I was blessed to have Mr. Neidhold as my middle school band teacher. I have always looked back fondly on my time in his band - I learned a lot under him and grew tremendously. I'm so sad to hear that he passed away so young. My deepest condolences to his family. He was a great man.

Deep condolences to the Neidhold family. Leonard was a joyful and kind person who made high school band a lot of fun. His skill inspired me (and others) to work harder and aim for the high bar he was setting. Since high school, I always think of Leonard when I hear a good jazz band and especially a good trombone solo. He will live on through our memories. Peace to his family.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Neidhold family during this time of great loss. I had the privilege of being Mr. Neidhold's student during my years at Trainer Middle School - he was a phenomenal teacher, mentor, and musician. Music was very much a part of who he was and he passed that love on to his students. Always there to help and encourage, he played an important part in shaping me into the musician I am today.
