Not sure what to say?

Dear Diane and Family,

My friend, Bunni (Howland) Slater told me of Leroy's passing. You and your family have my most sincere sympathy. The two of you were together since Junior High, so his death must leave a huge hole in your lives. I didn't know him well, but I have always looked up to you as models of what a loving couple should be. I'm sorry I didn't hear sooner. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Sheryl

We were so sorry to hear about Leroy. Leroy was such a wonderful and sincere person. He had so many friends. My (Norma) friendship goes back to junior high and we even attended the same church. He will be missed. Our prayers are that you will know that God will give you strenth at this difficult time.

I'm so very sotrry to hear ot LeRpy's passing. He was a genuinely good guy, and the two of you were a smashing couple. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

We extend our sincere sympathy to you and your family. I (Marilyn) remember you and LeRoy in the halls of LHS.

Diane and Family,

Your friends and neighbors on Encanto Drive will gather soon to remember LeRoy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you tonight as we look out over the golf course LeRoy loved to play. God be with you during this trying time. We love you.

Dear Diane and Family,

So sorry to hear of Leroy's death. He gave me my first job in a funeral home and did much to help me learn. I worked for him the summer Patrick was away in mortuary school. My prayers are with you all.

Dear Diane & Family,
Al & I were saddened to learn of LeRoy's sudden illness and death. May the Lord help you through these difficult days. And may your heart soon be filled with the wonderful memories you shared rather than the sadness of his loss you now feel.
God Bless you all.
With our sincere sympathy.

Dearest Diane,
I just received word from Bill Bywater that Lee had died...what a shock...I'm so sorry. Lee hired me in about 1974 to live/work at Beckman-Butherus Funeral Home in Iowa City. I was a student at the University of Iowa. The thought of free rent, and the opportunity to make a little money on the side, was too good to resist for a very poor college student. My Dad had died when I was in junior high, so I was always a little uncomfortable around a funeral home setting. Lee...
