I had the honor of working with Roy during his tenure at DHHS. He was a kind human with a passion for others and forward thinking in a time where that was not the norm. I fondly recall his neck ties that were so fun while he presented with such stoic candor. His Tabasco hot sauce tie was my favorite. I´ve thought of him fondly over the years, and I hope my work in the field continues to be inspired by the things I learned from him. May he rest peacefully and his family and friends continue to hear stories of such a steward to our state.
