Leroy and I played football together at Miami Beach Sr. High in 74. I vividly remember lining up nose to nose against him during football practice in the defensive tackle position and getting pushed around pretty good, never quite able to get good leverage or positioning against him. He made it look so damn easy too. What left the most lasting impression is the numerous times he would reach out extending his hand to help his teammates off the ground after knocking one of us over.
