As my own son is currently a senior in High School and is questioning his future path, I sit reflecting on those who influenced my own. I am currently in my 24th year of teaching HS Math, and can honestly say that the most influential teacher in my life was Dr. Les Aspinwall from my first year Master´s pursuits at MTSU. He was a brilliant and charismatic man who´s teachings and approach to teaching still heavily drive my methods today. So sad to hear of his passing. RIP Dr. Aspinwall...

Good bye, cousin. Will always remember when Liz and I came by your home in Murfreesboro to meet your family. Also, when you, your brothers and sister came to Jacksonville for a family reunion at the home of Don and Bonnie Aspinwall. Many happy and memorable times.

It is with great sadness that I learn of the passing of Les Aspinwall. He was such a great colleague at MTSU, a co-author on two research articles, and a trusted friend long after we both left MTSU. I will miss his warm smile, caring personality, and great sense of humor. I am so sorry we didn't to talk one last time.

Kasi's wedding
Our thoughts and prayers are with Les' two living daughters, Kasi and Keri and his five grandchildren. Kasi and Keri followed in his footsteps and both became teachers. They loved him and will always treasure their memories of him.
