Leslie Ledford Obituary
Born November 21, 1946 in Swain County, North Carolina, Leslie was the son of the late Stanley and Josie (Barker) Ledford. He was retired from Carolina Freight/ABF Corporation.
Having a God-given talent for music and a dry wit, Leslie enjoyed spending his free time teaching himself to play guitar, banjo, and steel guitar and making people laugh. He will be truly missed by his family and those who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory are his soul mate and wife of 52 years, Diane Trammell Ledford, two sons Scott Ledford and Jason Ledford, both of Gastonia, and his precious fur-baby Chloe.
In addition to his parents, Leslie was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne Ledford and Gary Ledford Sr. and six sisters, Alene Jenkins, Lorene Whitworth, Marcene Walters, Margaret Stillwell, Linda Huffstetler, and Peggy Rice.
A celebration of life for Leslie will be held Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Carothers Funeral Home in Gastonia. Reverend Dickie Spargo will preside. Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.

The family would like to thank Gaston Hospice and the Robin Johnson House for their kindness during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gaston Hospice in memory of Leslie.
