Our boys used to ride their Big Wheels in what we called "Mr. Sturgis' Circle". From then on they had made a friend with him. A holiday or special occasion never passed that they weren't sure to take a treat to their favorite neighbor.
Last year, Mr. Sturgis called for us to come over. He surprised the boys & me with birthday cards. How he knew the dates is still a mystery but it was just those types of things that made him so dear to us. I am thankful that my sons knew him for their first seven years. We miss our neighbor but know we will meet again in heaven.

Living a long life can be a blessing but there's still many memories and sadness that comes when a loved one's life comes to an end on this earth. Know that we are sharing in your sorrow and lifting you up in prayer. May you feel God's comfort and grace all around you.

Sorry to hear that Uncle Les has left this world behind, but glad he is no longer struggling here.
He was a member of the Greatest Generation and a natural storyteller. Loved to golf and loved to talk.
Thank you for your service to this country, and for your good influence on the Sturgis clan.
