New London - Letha I. Ragland, 101, of New London died Saturday, March 1, 2025. She was the wife of the late Paul F. Ragland; and is survived by five daughters: Paulette Faggette, Brenda Johnson, Cheryl Fletcher, Francine Vaughn and Janet Smith.

Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, at Shiloh Baptist Church, 1 Garvin Street, New London. A visiting hour will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, New London. Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington Street, New London is assisting the family with the arrangements. Aunt Rags and Uncle Paul met my late parents Claree and Joe Green in San Diego, California before I was born in 1949. She is my mother's only friend to tell me that she has known me ever since I was in my mother's womb. Aunt Rags and my mother shared a dear friendship that lasted more than 75 years. As Navy wives and mother's of 7 Ragland children and 8 Greens children they had many common bonds.
