General Lee and his family are some of the fondest memories I have of living in Hawaii. Mrs. Lee would talk to me as if I were her son. General Lee, although quiet and focused was always so kind to me an my father who worked for him. I will always have a place in my heart for the Lee family and the joy they bestowed upon me in some of the most difficult years of my life. Very respectfully and with love, Giel

My father worked under General Lee at Ft. Shafter Hawaii. I remember General Lee and his wife being so kind and considerate of me. Numerous times I would visit the Lee home and General Lee would be working into the night eating a sandwich and still in uniform. His daughter Jennifer and I were great friends who relied on each other, both being new to Hawaii. I miss the Lee family. My dad, Col.
