Liguori Schofield Obituary
BOURNE - Schofield, Liguori "Toni" A (Murphy, Baird), 88, of Bourne, MA passed away peacefully at Beth Israel Hospital in Plymouth, MA on January 23, 2021. She was born to the late Charles Levis Murphy and Mary Florence (Reilly) Murphy on April 14, 1932 in Boston, MA.
Toni was very proud of growing up in Jamaica Plain. She graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in 1950 where she loved playing basketball. In her early 20's she volunteered with the U.S.O. and belonged to the woman's club at St. Thomas Aquinas. She was a proud member of V.F.W Auxiliary posts 5592 and 1822, as well as the D.A.V. Auxiliary unit 96.
Toni always had time for her family as they meant everything to her. She is preceded in death by her loving husband John J Schofield Jr., sister Teresa (Murphy) Fitzgerald, brother Charles K Murphy, son Christopher Baird, and step-son Philip Schofield. She is survived by her 3 kids, & 4 Stepchildren, 12 Grandchildren, She also leaves 26 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday January 31st, 2020 from 2-4pm at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd. Bourne, Ma. Funeral Service will be on Monday February 1st 11am followed by burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
