Not sure what to say?

to the children of lillian gillhouse i am so sorry for your loss. i know that you knew what a wonderful mother you had. i had the chance to meet her at oakwood village-she was a wonderful person and i will really miss her

Thanks be to God for the life of this dear woman.

I hold fond memories of Mrs. Gillhouse, as she was my teacher in the third grade at Northwestern Elementary in 1983. She was always such a kind woman who I remember was very passionate about her teaching. I also remember ringing her door bell at her home just to say hello when I was visiting a neighbor of hers, she was so kind even though I had moved on to the next grade. She was one of many teachers from my youth who I feel made a difference in my life. My thoughts and prayers are with your...

Dear Susan, Sandy, Sharon & Steve,
Your mother was very dear to me and my parents, Arthur and Martha Lutz (who died in 2002 and 2003). I got to know her a few years before their deaths when she became a wonderful friend to them at Oakwood in their declining years. I often teased her that whenever I went to dad's room in the care center, she was there! That was before Roland of course! And she certainly brightened Roland's later years. I will send him a card. Poor Roland. Love to you...

Dear Susan, Sharon, Sandy & Steve,

I am a cousin of your dad's and send my sympathy, over the state lines, to each of you.

Your mom and dad were gracious and caring to all they met. Your mom shared memories about a family cradle which I had not known about.

You might be interested in knowing that my daughter's wedding attendants carried lighted candles in a hurricane globe just as your mom's did (or maybe it was a candle in a muff). As a child their wedding made a...

Dear Gillhouse Children...
My Mother and Father, Minnie and Walter Powers of Temperance, Michigan, considered your parents good friends. I was confirmed at St. Paul's and became an organist there when I was 11 years old in 1959. I have very fond memories of both your parents.

My Mother is 98 years old and lives in Haines City, Florida. I know she will be saddened by your Mother's passing.

Please know the impact your parents had on so many of us who attended St. Paul's....

Susan, Sharon, Sandy and Steve,
