Not sure what to say?

I enjoyed getting to know "Auntie Lil" on her visits to her niece, Marta, in Indianapolis. It was fun hearing of their adventures to NYC, Washington and other Eastern Shore trips.

It was with sadness that I learned of Lillian's death. What a special person she was! She was a model kindergarten teacher who was loved by all her students and parents alike. When I first began teaching at Fleetwood Elementary many years ago, she was a mentor ready to help me .... ready to share her words of wisdom ....and her years of experience. For this, I was so very greatful. When she retired from teaching, she gave me many of her personal teaching materials... some of which I still...

I loved my kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Walters! I was in the first kindergarten class, which met at the church on Washington until the "new" elementary school on Vine St. was finished. God has blessed her and all who knew her. Such a gracious and lovely lady.

Mrs. Walters was my first grade teacher and later my daughters kindergarten teacher. She was a most beautiful person who saw good in everyone she taught.

Lillian was so enthusiastic and appreciative of those around her. She was a role model for living life fully and graciously. She will be missed by her friends at Kutztown University many in all corners of Berks County.

To the family of Mrs. Walter, my sympathies...she was a wonderful woman who meant much to my daughter, Sarah.
