Linda was born in Portland, Oregon, on June 15th, 1940, to Karl Clyde and Barbara Sloan. She will be remembered fondly for her loving warmth and love of life's celebrations.

Linda was born, raised and educated in Portland, Oregon. She graduated from
Roosevelt High School in 1958 with many awards, culminating with selection as the
Rose Festival Princess for Roosevelt HS for 1958. She also ignited her love of travel through a high school summer studies abroad program in Denmark. She went on to graduate from Lewis and Clark College in 1962 as an Elementary school teacher, minoring in piano and music. She started her teaching career in the Portland public school system. In 1964, Linda was selected to teach Elementary School at Kamehameha School of Honolulu.

She received a paralegal certificate from University of San Diego and worked in a North County law office.

While most recently a parishioner at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Encinitas, she previously was parishioner at St. Mark's Catholic Church in San Marcos and St Patrick Catholic Church. While she volunteered with several education focused organizations through the years, she most recently worked with the Assistance League of Inland North County in Escondido.

She is survived by her husband Col. James V. Bronson (USMC Retired) of Carlsbad, California. Additionally she is survived by Linda Cox and her husband Tyler Cox of Mountain View, CA and James Bronson and his wife Kathleen Bronson of Camillus, NY. She loved to celebrate life with her five grandchildren, Charlie, Jackson, and Carter Cox of Mountain View, CA and Clare and Marian Bronson of Camillus, NY. Her memory will also be held dear by her brother Karl Clyde Sloan and his wife Jan of Salem, OR, and niece Laura Sloan of Scottsdale, AZ.
