Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home - Evendale/Blue Ash Obituary

On July 10, 2022, after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, Linda Lee Fink passed from this life to see the face of Jesus. She fought this battle with strong faith in God and His perfect plan, and throughout the journey, we saw His kindness and perfect timing again and again . She accepted this fight with grace and humility and taught us to do the same.

Linda was a one-of-a-kind, truly special woman. Her kindness, thoughtfulness, and generosity always made each person feel cared for and loved. She was a simple person of great faith in Jesus Christ, and her love was focused on people, not on things.

Over the past 22 months as she bravely fought pancreatic cancer, her faith in Christ sustained her and inspired our family as we watched her continue to be a prayer warrior, have peace, and experience joy in the midst of her life's most difficult trial. One of her favorite worship songs said, "In everything give Him thanks.... In the good times praise His name, in the bad times do the same, in everything, give the King of Kings... give Him thanks." And that is what we saw her do.

Linda didn't seek fame or fortune, she didn't chase after any fantastic "bucket list" things... what she loved most was her family- her loving and devoted husband Dick, their five children and their spouses/significant others, and their 13 grandchildren who are blessed to be "Grandy's Babies".  And, oh, how well she loved us all. She went to great lengths to make every holiday, every birthday, and every family occasion immensely special. She always made each person feel treasured and included, and dedicated her life to loving, serving, and bringing our blended family together with traditions and bonds that will remain forever.

Everyone who knew Linda knew that she loved celebrating Christmas, whether through creating beautiful decorations and offering warm hospitality at Christmas parties in our home, through personal gifts chosen with love for friends, employees, and even through secret giving to strangers or those in need, she gave generously out of a desire that others would know the love of Christ at Christmas and throughout the year.

We know without a shadow of a doubt that right now, Linda is in the presence of Jesus, and for that, we rejoice. But oh, how we will miss her here with us on earth.

We are so thankful for the many friends that have loved, prayed, and supported us through our journey with Linda’s pancreatic cancer. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

As Linda wanted, we will have a small, private memorial service. In honor of her giving, generous spirit, we would ask that in lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the Cincinnati Dreams Come True Foundation linked below that grants wishes for terminally ill children, which is a small, local charity run by Linda’s dear friend Bobbie Wittenbaum, who was a faithful, true friend and blessing throughout her cancer journey. Alternatively, donations could also be made to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation in her memory.
