LINDA A. HILTON

1947 - 2021

LINDA A. HILTON, 74, of New Haven, Ind., joined her husband Bill on June 16, 2021. Born April 12, 1947, in St. Paul, Minn., she was the daughter of the late Richard G. Scharff billig and Cordella M (Scharffbillig) Lantz. She was a member of the Post 330 American Legion in New Haven serving the auxiliary in many capacities. Linda worked at GE, Richardo's, HJS Sound Equipment and Schnelker Marine. She loved cross stitching, puzzles and reading. She lived most of her life in New Haven, Ind. She was a graduate of New Haven High School where she participated in Marching and Concert Band. She is survived by her sisters, Bonnie (Herman) Schnelker, Kathleen (Tim) Holt, Barbara (Tom) Lewis, and Loretta Hitch; stepsister, Georgelyn Sue Lantz; and several great-great nephews, great nephews and great nieces, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, William HIlton; sister, Denise (Raymond Daniel) Schuckel. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven, (IN 46774), with calling one hour prior. Visitation also from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 28, 2021, at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne (IN 46815). Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Catholic Charities of Fort Wayne/South Bend.
